'Whispering Bolter' is the expression used by aircrew on board one of Her Majesty's aircraft carriers when their aircraft misses the arrester wires (a Bolter) with a low power setting (Whispering). As the engines take a while to spool up, it has been known for the aircraft to roll down the deck and into the sea... This is my first novel, and I'm told it's a 'good read'. There is a synopsis on the 'Published Work' page and a direct link to Amazon on this page under 'Buy My Book'.
![]() This great old bird owned by Mark Roche is the subject of my Buyers' Guide article in July's Pilot mag. The next Buyers' Guide subject will be a PA24 Comanche 260C. Last Friday (31.07.09) I was involved in Flight Testing a Focke Wulf 490D Piaggio for Pilot mag - what a great ride!
