This is G-RVPL's 'office'; conventional analogue instrumantation designed around the Standard Six. The Nav/Com comes from a Garmin (ex Apollo) SL30, which allows two VOR bearings to be received simultaneously and two Com frequencies to be monitored at the same time. ILS/Glideslope and intercom are all provided in the same box. This is a very nice piece of kit. A Garmin transponder with mode 'c' is also fitted. There is a panel mounted, removable IPAQ which displays a moving CAA VFR chart. Note the Jet Provost throttle, which houses the PTT and the flap switch.

Highly desirable American kit build sportplane. Took 3 years and 9 months to build G-RVPL with a lot of help from John Waterman (electrics and much else), Andrew Page (engine) and Simon Irving (paint job) First flight - (wow, just incredible, all birthdays at once) - 18th December 2005, full Permit issued January 2006. 18 months later; empty workshop, itchy fingers...what to do...let's build another one!
